A decentralized virtual archive and intellectual Agora, anchored by our own library, bookstore, and publishing house. This is more than a repository; it is a living database for collective sense-making where participants can upload, download, share, and promote their own papers and publications. While we leverage social networks for global reach, our internal catalogue provides rigorous, detailed listings for every item—detailing availability and providing direct links to download, buy, rent or donate.

The concept of experimental thinking is a valuable fragment of modern education in the field of design, technology and culture. There has been an emerging shift in higher education to create unique fusions of disciplines responding to rising questions about the future. They offer a comprehensive approach to predicting social, economic and environmental change. We can see such efforts at leading Universities and their emerging courses on Future Studies. In our approach, we wish to highlight the importance of this interdisciplinary, sustainable and futuristic approach.

ARCHITECTURE: Stop consuming space—start dictating it. We invite you to a radical laboratory designed to dismantle the status quo of the urban fabric. We kick off by stripping the city bare, exposing the brutal logic of infrastructure and the power dynamics of urban planning. Then, we accelerate through a high-octane history of architecture—from the raw edge of Modernism to the speculative future of urbanism, where the boundaries between interior design, landscape, and typology completely dissolve. The climax? Pure creative anarchy. You’ll build adaptive urban units and public space scenographies using LEGO, cardboard, and raw materials. No boring renders—just tactile, visionary compositions. Architecture isn’t the goal; it’s the manifesto. Define the visual code of tomorrow.

SPACE-FORMING + FORM-GIVING: by futuresearch.studio is a spatial uprising - we are hacking the DNA of how we live, work, and breathe. This workshop deconstructs the invisible forces shaping our behavior. From the macro-scale of urban compositions and infrastructure to the intimate grit of interior layouts, we challenge the friction between traditional typologies and radical new realities like co-living and co-working. Get hands-on with the evolution of nature-integrated design, mastering technical principles through the lens of emerging tech. Whether it’s a deep-dive one-day sprint or a series of tactical sessions with individual consults for real-world projects, we bridge the gap between abstract theory and construction. ABOUT THE FUTURE: A full-day creative workshop (in 4 blocks) or a workshop series supporting imagination and abstract thinking. Inspired by the 1966 BBC interview where children imagine the year 2000). Together we will share and connect the experiences of children's creative workshop lecturers with architects and urban planners (about how a city works), biodesigners (about the concept of nature), technology experts (about the use of AI). Social scientists will explain the possibilities of participation of the young generation in solving problems and creating their neighborhoods and cities. Me and my immediate surroundings, neighborhood, city, landscape, country, world and planet.

INTERSECTION MEDITERRANEA: The Mediterranean Sea—once a lifeline for trade and shared civilizations—now sits at a turning point. Rapid warming is stressing fragile ecosystems; emerging Arctic shipping routes may redraw global commerce; and undocumented crossings have turned the sea into a deadly border. How will these forces reshape the Mediterranean Sea? In an experimental workshop, three architects lead three consecutive disruptive processes in three hours. Engaging in the practice of futurology, participants will be able to utilize architecture as a tool for analyzing complex societal challenges. They will prototype the Mediterranean Sea as: a vessel, a model, a ridge, a fixed wall, etc. —testing how the design can either enable exploitation and divide or nurture solidarity, regeneration, and rescue.

Presentation (screen or canvas): an introduction to the life of the Mediterranean sea - we will share a kaleidoscopic collection of footage, showcasing the past and current challenges of the vast region. 3 sessions, by 3 lecturers (talisman holders).

TO BE (OR NOT TO BE) AN ARCHITECT: Is architecture a dream job or a beautiful nightmare? We’re pulling back the curtain for the next generation of visionaries. This isn't a dry career talk; it’s a high-energy deep dive into the philosophy, hustle, and soul of the craft. From the micro-detail of bespoke furniture to the massive complexity of infrastructure and masterplanning, we explore what it actually takes to build the world. We’ll talk killer software, AI-driven trends, and the grit of permits and laws—all without the boredom. Get the raw truth on the long road to certification and the massive challenges facing today’s creators. Meet the rebels already doing it, ask the "unaskable" questions, and test if you have the fire to reshape the world. Your architect era starts here.

We stand at the absolute threshold of an emergence—a beginning that is as certain as it is undefined. We categorically reject the future as a "postcard": a static, rendered image of a finished world. The future is not a singular vision to be consumed; it is a complex, open-ended architecture that demands our intervention. It is not something "built," "dead," or "solved." Instead, we define the future as a continuous collage—a state of permanent flux, radical freedom, and creative volatility. In the spirit of Umberto Eco’s Opera Aperta and the spontaneous drift of Kerouac, we provide the syntax, but the meaning remains open. We operate on the principle that time is neither linear nor fixed, but a relative field where the future is actively folded into the present.

We are navigating a terminal landscape. The current socio-political climate is not merely challenging; it is a failed paradigm. Under the dictates of late-stage capitalism, the creative fields have been reduced to a theater of hyper-competition, where architecture is treated as a service industry rather than a cultural necessity. We are trapped in a system that prioritizes profit over people, distancing the creator from the heartbeat of society.

To break this cycle, we must identify and weaponize the glitch-the inherent instability within the system—the precise point where we must attack to trigger collapse and renewal. This is a call for creative sabotage: tearing down the model - our mission is to refocus on cultivating meaning rooted in social necessity, recalibrating our practice by listening deeply to the radical frequencies of art, the biological wisdom of nature, and the transformative power of technology.

Architecture possesses immense transformative potential, yet it remains stifled by its own conservatism. We must break the inertia of the "lone architect" myth. Following Carlo Ratti’s vision of Collective Intelligence for the Biennale Architettura 2025, we recognize our power to form a Consortium: a decentralized alliance designed to dismantle the barriers of traditional practice. This is not a mere business partnership, but a strategic convergence of interdisciplinary intelligence. We unite architects, artists, coders, and thinkers to seize control of complex projects and large-scale competitions (but grassroot projects too) that have been historically reserved for the status quo. Our Consortium operates at the volatile edge of art and technology, but it is anchored by human imperatives: solidarity, empathy, and the architecture of the senses. We are not just building structures; we are engineering collective motions and social empathy.

To design is to dream with responsibility. We must harness the power to change society, not merely through aesthetics, but through the application of collective intelligence. This is the transition from the architect as a solo creator to the architect as a facilitator of a living, thinking network.

A central pillar of the X-UTOPIA project is the radical transition from the individual manifesto to collective intelligence. We are dismantling the 20th-century model (and its constant imitation) of strictly centralized studios—the era of the "starchitect"—and moving toward a decentralized, pluralistic protocol. While the previous century remained trapped in singular conceptual architectural approaches, we leverage the sophisticated tools of the present to deliver comprehensive solutions and direct action.

We categorically reject the "written, boring image" of a predicted future—those sterile, technical forecasts that merely project existing biases into the next decade. Instead, we embrace a future that is dreamy, blurry, and profoundly imaginative. We do not seek to "predict" a landscape; we seek to dream it into existence. By abandoning the sharp, rigid lines of 20th-century certainty, we find the resolution necessary for a truly revolutionary environment.

We must redefine innovation. It is not the mere fine-tuning of obsolete concepts. A modern car remains a 19th-century carriage concept layered with sensors, yet it continues to kill; the first television broadcasts were nothing more than radio announcers reading scripts on camera. This is not progress; it is stagnation disguised as technology.

We refuse to use technology as a crutch for intellectual laziness or to make life "easier" in a way that leads to physical and mental atrophy—the "Segway-effect" for the mind. Technology should not be a tool for convenience, but a gymnasium for abstract thinking. We must remain hyper-aware of the "mental obsession" and cognitive decline associated with offloading our intellect to machines. As highlighted by research from MIT, over-reliance on generative AI can stifle the collective diversity of thought and erode the brain's cognitive functions. We do not use AI to think for us; we use it to train the unthinkable.

We must fundamentally challenge the concept of nature as we currently consume it. The traditional notion of "nature protection" is an illusion; we live in almost entirely artificial environments where "nature" has been reduced to a decorative element—a green filter applied to interiors, facades, and city scales. We reject this superficiality. We do not want nature as decoration; we want nature as a functioning, sovereign system integrated into the very code of our environment.

“X-UTOPIA was/is also about the search for a code. Just as nature is defined by chemical processes (the photosynthesis equation), human DNA is also a code. A computer program, as well as AI, is a code, based on which all programmed devices that surround us work.

What is the environment that surrounds us? What is its definition and where are its boundaries? Is it finite or infinite? Is it physical or digital only? Natural or artificial? Visible, tangible, audible? Is it defined by our senses? Or does it exist (only) in our dreams?

Does everything have its own creator? Higher beings, intelligent design, nature deity, the creativity of humanity? Or was it and is it a combination of all of the above? Can nature and the planet in crisis be saved by artificial intelligence?

The X perspective, which means constant progress and movement forward, is a great metaphor for human efforts in the pursuit of knowledge. It can also be a symbolic imprisonment in a 3D space defined by X,Y,Z coordinates. What future awaits us somewhere far ahead?”

Our strategy is not one of linear evolution, nor of chaotic revolution, but of deliberate mutation. We seek a radical synthesis: the fusion of human agency, natural systems, and high technology. We acknowledge the friction between rapid technological advancement and the slow, deep rhythms of the natural world. Yet, nature is the ultimate innovator, far more creative and efficient with its resources than any human industry. We propose a co-evolutionary leap, where we do not exploit nature or technology, but mutate alongside them in a state of deep, collaborative intelligence.

We are transforming into a fluid, decentralized entity: a DAO, a bottom-up collective of allies and conspirators. We inhabit the overlap between a consortium, a think-tank, and a digital ecosystem—a global syndicate that remains intentionally open yet relentlessly focused. We are at the point of origin, building the framework as we inhabit it.

Operating as Avengers: a decentralized franchise of poetic resistance. Like a high-stakes cinematic collective, we are a group of specialists operating in the shadows of the status quo to save the world from its own stagnation. We are the "glitch" but we don't just critique the system; we architect the alternative.
