FUTURESEARCH STUDIO is an interdisciplinary office for architecture, design, research and
futures studies. STUDIO has been transformed from more than two decades of working - from projects AUAOAY to LIMINAAL, focusing on experimental architecture, design and research. We believe that ARCHitecture, constant SEARCH and permanent RESEARCH will lead us into the new FUTUREs.
FUTURESEARCH STUDIO is at the moment curating the research project X-UTOPIA, a project devoted to the theme of the peripheral utopia, focused on a specific site but aims to transcend the urban/rural and local/global divides. We believe that when faced with rapid change and challenging questions, we should not stand still like a deer in the headlights.
The X-utopia project was selected by Chief Curator Carlo Ratti to be featured at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025.

Jozef Olsavsky (Creative Director) is a graduated architect. He acquired his experience while working at
Rem Koolhaas’s OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture)
in Rotterdam. His work ethos is based on continuous testing and designing in a broader context. He considers himself an open and logical thinker with a progressive approach.

Dorota Olsavska
is a cultural anthropologist and writer based between Rotterdam and Seoul. She has thorough experience in social research. Her work is dedicated to cultural expressions of resistance and identity. In the process, she embraces experimental creative approaches. She graduated in Cultural Anthropology with BSc from Leiden University and MSc from Amsterdam University. During her studies, she completed Honours College track for exceptional students, received the Speckman Award for outstanding fieldwork and took a visiting semester at Sungkyunkwan University. Gerrit Rietveld Academie published her poetry collection. Her master thesis project was qualitative research fieldwork with the underground music community in Seoul: tracing its life and transformation through stories, events and photos.

Denisa Olsavska worked for magazines, iDNES.cz and lifestyle titles ELLE, Marianne, Apetit, Heroine and Finmag in Prague CZ. She is currently fully dedicated to photographic work and tries to capture moments, as well as emotions and ingredients of life: decode the essence of urban environments, architecture, landscape, nature and their understanding through our own inner self.
